CBD Gummies are an exploding trend in the cannabis community. They’re easy to make, delicious, and can be taken any time of day. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound that is found in marijuana plants. It doesn’t get you high like THC does, but it has many health benefits, including anxiety or depression.

There have been some questions about whether they are safe to take, though, because there’s not much research on them yet, so we went looking for answers! Here’s what we found at https://hempbombs.com/cbd-gummies/.

What Exactly Are CBD Gummies?

CBD gummies are precisely what they sound like: gummy-shaped candies with CBD in them. They can be found at dispensaries and online stores and come in all sorts of flavors from sour to tasty.

What Are the Ingredients?

They usually contain a few natural ingredients, including sugar, corn syrup, gelatin (made from collagen), citric acid for tartness, vegetable oil or coconut oil to hold it together, and other flavorings such as fruit extracts. There should also only be two main ingredients that you need to know about: CBD extract and flavoring. Some people may have allergies or sensitivities so if there’s anything else, just make sure it isn’t harmful by looking up each ingredient on google.

Are They Safe to Take?

As long as you buy them from reputable companies, they are safe to take. It’s always smart to make sure that the ingredients aren’t harmful like gluten or dairy because some people have allergies and sensitivities for certain things.

Is it Legal in All States?

CBD products are legal almost everywhere, which means CBD gummies are too! Some states allow medical marijuana while others only consider hemp oil (which is just an extract of cannabis) okay, so check before purchasing if there is a law against it where you live. Know your laws!

What Does Science Say About the Safety of CBD?

There have not been any studies on CBD gummies specifically, but they are all-natural, so there’s no reason it wouldn’t be safe for you to take them. A lot of research is being done about the benefits of CBD and THC, though, especially in cannabis oil form, which has had some promising results with people who have epilepsy or chronic pain.

Can I Give It to My Kids?

Technically yes, because it’s just an extract! But even though most brands are entirely harmless, it might be better to wait until they’re older, if only because every child reacts differently. If you decide to give them before, then make sure that each dose contains less than 0.02mg/kg (.002g per kg) of CBD, which is the recommended daily amount for children.

What If I’m Pregnant or Nursing?

CBD gummies aren’t known to affect pregnant women negatively, but it’s always smart to check with your doctor before taking anything new when you’re expecting, just in case! It also isn’t likely that there would be too much THC in them since they are derived from cannabis oil so if you do decide to take them during pregnancy, then make sure not only that each dose contains less than 0.02mg/kg (.002g per kg) of CBD, but also no more than 20mg total of THC (which is what can get someone high).

What to Look out for When Shopping for CBD Gummies?

There are some things that you can look for when shopping cbd gummies for pain. Make sure that the ingredients are natural, and it says how many mg of CBD is in each serving (most brands will say). If they don’t, then ask them because every brand should be able to tell you about their product.
